By Auto:

 From the North:

Take New York State Thruway South to Exit 17 (Newburgh).
After toll booth follow signs to Route I-84.
Take Route I-84 West to Exit 3 W (Middletown). (Do not take Exit 4 Middletown.)
After exiting make right turn onto Route 17 M West to the SECOND traffic light.
Turn left at traffic light.  Make right at traffic light onto Wawayanda Ave.
The National Shrine is 1/2 mile on the left (between the two small lakes).
Make first left onto Carmelite Drive.

 From the South:

Take New York State Thruway North to Exit 16 (Harriman).
After exiting toll booth proceed West on  Route 17
( I-86). Take Exit 121W (1-84 West). Proceed as above.

 From the West:

Take Route I-84 East to Exit 3W (Middletown).
Proceed to Third traffic light and follow as above.

 From the  East:

Take Route I-84 West to Exit 3W (Middletown).
Proceed to Second traffic light and follow as above.
