On Monday, June 10th at 11 AM in the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Middletown, New York. ten novices from the two American Provinces – St. Elias and the Most Pure Heart of Mary, pronounced their simple vows of obedience, poverty and chastity for three years.
The Mass was led by the two Carmelite Priors Provincial, the Very Reverend Mario Esposito, O.Carm. and the Very Reverend William J. Harry, O.Carm., and a full chapel witnessed the beautiful ceremony.
Those being professed were born in the United States, Trinidad, Mexico and Vietnam. Next year the brothers will study philosophy or theology in Washington, D.C. or Saigon, Vietnam. The entire Carmelite Family rejoices on this very happy occasion and will keep our newly professed friars in prayer.
