VETERANS DAY 2023
In observance of Veterans Day 2023, the Carmelites placed a flag on the gravestones of each of our friars who served in the military. Our brothers who served were: Rev. Norbert Hansen, Rev. Robert Greco, Rev. Robert Tracy, Rev. Edmund McCaffrey, Rev. Albert Pavlik, Rev. John Finbar Lynn, Rev. John McGrath, and Bro. Michael Garraghan. Each of the brothers was also mentioned by name at today’s Mass at the National Shrine.
Thank you for your service to our country, brothers. Rest in peace!
Eternal rest, grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them. Amen.
May they rest in peace.
And may the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
