Two Prenovices Enter the Formation Program

On Tuesday, October 1st, the Feast of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, the two new pre-novices of the St. Elias Province – John Baptist Truong An Nguyen and Timothy J. Rankin – were officially welcomed in the formation program of the St. Elias Province and received the Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel during evening prayer. Father Mario Esposito, O.Carm., Prior Provincial, led the ceremony and spoke to the new brothers about the meaning of being enrolled in Mary’s scapular, as well as wholeheartedly entering into the spirit of the formation process. These new pre-novices began at St. Eliseus Priory in Harrison on August 21st and are studying part time at the Immaculate Conception School or Theology at Seton Hall University. Also present were Father Joseph Nguyen Do, O.Carm., Prior, and Brother Robert Bathe, O.Carm. Many blessings to our new pre-novices.
